STEVE COLVARD
Steve has been involved in producing drawings for over 1,800 restaurants, bars and retail establishments throughout his 29-year career in the food service and retail industries.
Prior to joining Floresta Partners in 2017, Steve served as the General Manager and CAD Department Manager for Best Restaurant Equipment and Design, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. In that role he worked with many national and regional chains as well as small “mom and pop” restaurants, C-stores and schools to bring operationally-efficient and cost-effective design solutions to his clients.
Steve has been involved in projects that can be found in over 40 states, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Middle East including, restaurants and retail stores. He has extensive experience in on-site monitoring and verification of projects that are under construction along with project management.
Prior to entering into the restaurant design industry, Steve spent many years with well-known architectural firms providing drawing solutions as a Project Manager and Senior Director to two of the nation’s largest retail clothing companies working with both in-house designers and in-the-field construction supervisors. He has also worked with many other businesses to provide solutions for office, school, entertainment and residential spaces.
Steve is a native of western North Carolina and has attended Caldwell Community College, Columbus State Community College and the University of Tennessee. He is a top level Certified Food Service Professional (CFSP 1) and is ServeSafe certified. Steve has also attended several of the industry’s manufacturer training schools including Frymaster “Frying Masters” School, Hatco Training School and Cleveland Range Steam School among others.
When not working, Steve is a member of the Transportation and Front Ensemble teams for the internationally-known, award-winning Grove City High School Marching Band (Grove City, Ohio) where his son was a member from 2016 to 2020. He also enjoys traveling with his wife whenever he gets a chance.
